One of the fastest growing sports revolves around go cart racing. There is a large shift in popularity from both the professional and amateur divisions of racing. Racing go carts is much like other motor sports with one major exception, the size of the vehicle. The cart is small and it is open, but still maintains four wheels and a defined motor. Enthusiasts of all backgrounds enjoy the thrill of open sport racing, and after spending a lot of time racing; anyone can turn into a professional driver.

Many people consider racing go karts a relatively childish thing. However, heads are turning as more and more people discover that carts are not just an amusement park attraction. When comparing racing to the public sector, there is a major difference. The name of the game for go carts that are meant for racing, and not just amusement have a faster top speed. Some super charged carts could reach top speeds of upwards of 220 to 240 kilometers per hour.

The general public can purchase racing go carts for sale in many sizes and styles but it’s important to look at several components. The first component to look at is the body, followed by the engine and tires. Most often, people interested in a racing go cart can purchase them online or at a nearby store. There are a good majority of racing go cart kits found online that could be relatively reasonable in terms of costs and usage. When first starting out it is important to purchase beginner level race go cart parts and assemble them according to the instructions that come alongside them. To be competitive as most people want to be you need a really good mechanic if your not so inclined.

Another one of the major components to look at in regards to racing are the tires. The tires and wheels are smaller than a normal car, and are often times slick. Slick tires consist of no tread patterns and are used for competition. Most often slick tires are utilized in dry tracks. While there are grooved and treaded tires, offer more traction in case of wet weather.

Whether you’re looking to spend time racing, or simply looking at race go carts for sale as a casual hobby, you’ll find that there are a lot of options to explore. It’s important to remember that racing grade vehicles go fast, and it’s important to wear proper safety equipment. It’s also important to familiarize oneself with how to properly maintain and fix minor problems that might arise with race go carts. Investing in a small tool kit will help keep your cart running in case anything goes awry. Never neglect safety and maintenance, as they lead to longevity of cart and physical body.

I would suggest if your just starting out to look into used racing go carts for sale so you do not have so much invested in a hobby right out of the gate. You can find them all over the internet especially classified ads sites such as Craigslist. A used racing go cart for sale on Craigslist is a dime a dozen, you should not have any trouble getting what you want for the money you want to spend.

Go carts are something that are extremely popular among young adults and children. These 4 wheeled buggies or all terrain vehicles can be driven on the street or off road on such terrain as dirt trails or mountainous hills. The go cart can be setup a number of ways it really depends on what your age bracket is or driving skill level and also what purpose you have for driving it. As a kid I owned a street go cart that was setup for street use only.

It was a two seater cart with a Briggs and Stratton engine that would run about 20 mph. Now this was not fast enough for me as the other kids in the neighborhood that had them would run about 30 mph. So as most go karts have a governor on them mine did as well so I decided to rid my cart of the governor and allow it to open up which gave me another 15 mph. Not bad for being only 12 years old and terrorizing the neighborhood. I had street tires on mine which were slicks like you see on a Nascar style race car. My friends had knobby tires on their go carts which allowed them to go off road on the dirt trails we had behind out houses.

Go carting is a phenomenon that reaches all ages. It starts when you are young and can evolve into something greater than most realize. Go cart racing is a huge sport than many Nascar drivers started their brilliant careers in. Drivers like Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart started their distinguished professional careers racing go carts and naturally moved up the ranks from there. It is obvious it can be a lucrative sport if you decide to race professionally.

Go karting is something that many kids and young adults all over the world take part in. There are go cart tracks all over the world and go cart races take place in just about every part of the world you can imagine. Italy controls the World Karting Championships which is governed by the FIA. This is a huge organization which also controls the Formula One Racing. There are other various organizations in the United States which also control Go kart racing.

The economy often dictates how well go carting will do given they can be expensive and cost much to maintain. Even if you are buying a go cart for recreational use you want something that is going to be reliable but also not break the bank. Cheap go carts for sale can be found in many different places and that is a huge advantage to the karts of the past. Before the internet there were only a couple of places to find used go carts and that consisted of basically the classified ads of the newspaper and Pep Boys go carts. Pep Boys has long been a distributor of them and other 2 and 4 wheeled vehicles.

If buying a go cheap go kart is not an option for you and you have some mechanical skills then you can always build your own go cart. They have go cart kits for sale that come with a go kart manual to help you put it together which will save you money and give you some time with your kids if you they choose to want to help you. Go cart parts are sold at various cycle shops and several online stores stock just about every part you need to make your own go cart yourself. Homemade go carts are a great way to have what you want and take pride in knowing you built it yourself.

Go carts can be made from wood or various metals. Typically they are made from a strong metal or steel that will have a roll cage for safety. The off road go karts definitely have safety first as they are bigger and much more unstable being that they are higher off the ground. This means a chance for flipping over but with the roll cage you should be fine as long as you are seat belted in. Wooden go carts are a different story and are less safe as a means of fun.

Racing go karts started off as a kiddy sport and popular summer past time has really grown up and evolved into an industry, which has been embraced world over by speeding enthusiasts and racing fanatics. Go Carting is now being tried out as a sport for grown ups too, and carts are being built exclusively for them. These carts meant strictly for off road speed thrills, have been appropriately christened as off road go carts.

Historically, the first go-cart, was built by Art Ingels in 1956. It was a simple affair with a two stroke cycle engine. Go karting has since then, come a long way, from a popular sport for airmen in the heyday’s to the current speed demons or superkarts, some of which are reported to cross 160 mph (260 Km/h) on asphalt!

The racing go kart is slightly modified compared to children’s go carts, since they are built for more speed and more endurance over various terrain. The more noticeable changes are in the wheels, which are much bigger, to offer better traction and stability and in the engines which are more powerful, with most Off road go carts having 150-250cc engines. Besides the horse power, there are other fundamental differences in the design of these carts with

· Higher clearance, to clear more ground based obstacles
· The adult models, have both rear as well as front shock absorbers, since enthusiasts will definitely try it out, on rough terrain
· A reverse gear
· Unique styling features, sometimes it’s tough to tell if the carts a dune buggy or vice versa

Racing go carts are basically open wheeled vehicles with no suspension. The basic components of an off road go cart, are the chassis, transmission, motor, seating for 1-2 people and 4 tires. Since, there is no suspension, the chassis itself must provide enough strength and flexibility to allow the cart to maintain its grip on the road, whether its going straight or taking a sharp left.

An underlying aspect of off road go carting, is the focus on safety. Since these race go carts can easily reach the speeds of a normal car, accidents, when they occur can be deadly, so a few safety provisions are always included such as seat belts and padding with helmets, gloves, shoes and thermal suits is recommended. With carts on the racing track, roll bars and caged chassis provide protection to the driver, in the event of the car rolling over. However extreme racing go carts your dealing with rough terrain and also go kart races that can be very dangerous as well.

Go karting is considered to be a stepping-stone to the world of high-speed racing. Racing greats like Sarah Fisher, Darrell Waltrip, Kyle Petty, Tony Stewart and Michael Schumacher were all Go carters, before they ventured into Indy or Formula One. Talent scouts often pick up the best talents from the go carting tracks and hone them into professionals. In fact, if you’re good enough to reach the top classes in go carting (and mind you, there are many classes), you should seriously consider professional kart racing.

There are many places to find racing go karts for sale depending on what kind of driving level you are going to be classified in. Some are built bigger and faster than others. However, if you’re just in it for the fun, forget the competition. Remember what it was like to be kids, and just have fun!

If you have children, then you have probably already gone through the wants and needs of finding go karts for sale. It is a proven fact that kids love go carts, and that enjoying the outdoors or even racing competitively is a great way to enjoy quality time with your family. Getting into the great outdoors, or at competitive racing venues will teach you and your children a lot about life, often times more than you had ever imagined when you began the journey. These types of go karts really are considered safe, and as long as you take the proper precautions, you really have nothing to worry about when it comes to keeping your safe.

If you have a yard big enough and don’t mind having a dirt track burned into it from all of the go kart riding, then you are the perfect candidate for purchasing your children a new yard kart. However, if you don’t have the yard space, or you don’t want your lawn having go kart tracks worn down into it, then you are going to want to make sure that you have parking lots available for your children to ride. Before you take the kids out to the parking lots though, you are going to want to make sure that you have adequate written permission from the land owner to keep yourself out of hot water should the police show up, which they often do.

Finding racing go karts for sale is a great way to get into a very competitive sport that can teach your children a lot about themselves, but also a lot about life in general. They will learn traits of good sportsmanship and conduct, competitiveness, friendliness, as well as being able to learn a new mechanical skill. Repairing racing go carts can often be expensive, so it is highly suggested that you take the time to learn how they work, as well as the smaller two or four stroke engines, so that you can in turn teach your children.

Spending the time fixing the go karts and preparing for either your next race, or the next weekend that they get to ride is serious quality time that cannot be replaced by anything. These are memories that your kids are going to come back to you with for years to come, and the principals and values that you are able to teach them through this method of competitive sports is going to provide them an incredible foundation. These types of traits and qualities, as long as nurtured mean that finding used go karts for sale is more than just giving your kids something to do, but instead a chance to spend a lot of quality time with them.

As you can see, it is a very wise decision to invest in your family when it comes to finding cheap go karts for sale. What you will learn over the course of a few short months is something that you and your family will not soon forget.

Speed is something everyone loves and racing go carts can accommodate that need. People like to accelerate at the maximum speed they can get, be it a go kart or a vehicle and watch the world left far behind. Racing go carts or racing go karts are no exception. You can assume a racing go cart as a formula one. It has a chassis that is either wooden or steel or any other material, depending upon who built it. A go kart can also be built at home and it can be purchased too.

If you are building it at home, you can use go cart kits as well as the materials that are available around you. In most cases, you use wood or iron as the base. An entire Iron base will increase the load and affect the speed of the go cart. If you are building one for yourself I would also look for a do it yourself manual on how to build a go cart, I would advise an iron frame with wood on it. This will give much strength to the Go Cart and more power to sustain the irregular terrains where go carts are used mostly. This also provides lesser load on the wheels than the entire base being iron.

If you are to purchase the go kart, you can buy one with a stainless steel frame and plastic chassis. This would be the best option as the engine you will be using will have to spend less power towards carrying the excess load of a Go Cart. The go cart frame chassis determines the maximum speed you can achieve through the engines you choose to have on your racing go cart. While there are not much options available when you go for the production racing go karts engine. Most of the ready made racing go karts employ the best engines that bring the cost of the overall Go Cart up.

On the other hand, if you are building your own fast go cart, you can select not only the chassis but also the engine. You can select one in your budget and use it with your racing go cart. You can also use a refurbished or spare go cart engine lying in a used go cart you can find in the newspaper or internet. You get more options when you built your first car yourself. The only thing you need is the understanding of what goes where and what all material will make it durable yet a light weight Go cart that can not only be used as fun, but also for the professional race go carts. Do not get disappointed if your first Go Kart, which you built yourself, failed midway a race. This means you need to improve your workmanship and should give you more strength to build a better Go Cart the next time.

One of the problems that you face with racing go carts is that there is no suspension. Actually, as the wheels are smaller, there is no scope to include the suspensions in the vehicle. Take note that the basic chassis is built in a way that it also acts as a suspension. You may use a double base with small springs between the two, if you are build a go cart yourself. For pre-assembled racing go carts please check the suspension technique they used in building the Go Cart.
