Our Review
We reviewed this product and found it to be very well put together and very accurate to the description given. It does run about 9 mph and there is almost no noise associated with it. The tires are aggressive and good for grassy or dirt terrain.
The ground clearance is very low (2 inches) which makes for a not very easy “off road” experience so don’t think of this as a true off road go kart or dune buggy. But we are talking about little children so it doesn’t have to be mountainous.
The accelerator is a thumb paddle which works well and is perfect for children instead of the traditional foot controls. Kids are more responsive with their hands at a young age.
The brake is nice but this buggy is designed to slow down quickly when the accelerator is released and it does the trick.
It has a low power light to let you know when the battery is needing to be charged. We found that you initially need to charge the battery about 18 hrs per manual. Recharge time is about 12 hrs and you get about 45 min to an hr ride time at full throttle. The unfortunate thing is that you basically get one ride per day.
We have read some reviews about gocarts not working after several months and slow replacement part delivery. The battery seems to be the biggest issue as it seems to go bad sometimes. As with anything that has a battery you are going to have this happen on occasion.
To avoid this issue we recommend purchasing a backup battery ($55) in case this happens. Yes it is more money but it would also allow your child to ride more in a day as you can simply change out the battery after a ride.
We recommend a helmet to be worn at all times when riding this vehicle
